Students Missions Awareness Conference (SMAC) is a triennial Missions Conference organized by the Ghana Fellowship of Evangelical Students (GHAFES). SMAC 2018 is under the theme “4:35…The Fields are Ripe”, and is scheduled to take place at the Central Cafeteria, University of Ghana, Legon from Thursday, January 4 to Monday, January 8, 2018.


The objectives of SMAC 2018 are as follows:

  1. To create the awareness of the unfinished task of the Great Commission in Ghana and beyond; among students and graduates.
  2. To challenge and expose students and graduates to the missions dimension of Christian ministries, and empower and equip them to respond to the call to missions.
  3. To challenge students and graduates called to the market place to strategically think of using their vocation to advance the Kingdom.
  4. To mobilize and train students and graduates to develop a lifestyle of active involvement, praying and giving towards missions work.
  5. To challenge students and graduates to see and use the National Service as opportunity for Kingdom service to attempt to unify evangelism and social action.


What should Participants expect at SMAC 2018?

At SMAC 2018, we hope that the 1000+ participants (i.e. tertiary students across the country, Associates, participants from denominations, international students, etc.) will be taught, inspired, challenged, equipped and commissioned for active involvement in holistic missions (i.e. personal involvement, praying and giving towards missions).


SMAC 2018 is FREE*

We are happy to inform you that. by God’s grace, GHAFES has received some sponsorship towards SMAC 2018. The sponsorship covers all conference expenses except lodging and feeding. In view of that, non-residential participants can now attend SMAC 2018 for FREE!

Residential participants will pay only GHS 82.00 (which covers lodging at Mensah Sarbah Hall and Meals).
