I sincerely believe that gratitude is an offshoot of experiential grace. I arrive at this conclusion in the sense that, one who experiences an undeserving favor feels a sense of indebtedness and so expresses a sense of gratitude. The Bible says “Let us continually [not just when you feel like it] offer the sacrifice of praise to God… giving thanks to His name.” To this end, I thank God for how He has continued to bless the ministry of GHAFES in diverse ways and especially for using you our Members, Associates, Friends and Partners as His instrument of blessings and tangible means of grace. God richly bless you for allowing yourselves to be used. The staff and I are forever grateful.

Due to your faithfulness in supporting the ministry, we have been able to pay our staff and meet most of our financial obligations every month, successfully completed this year’s Northern and Southern Students in Church Evangelism (SICE), dispatched 24 students to participate in this year’s Short Term In Community Service (STICS). Further, we are in the process of engaging Muslims with the gospel on our campuses starting in the South West Zone and finally we are preparing and will be implementing a One Day National Conference on Entrepreneurship tentatively in November in Cape Coast. Thank you is just not enough to express the depth of my gratitude.

Since my appoint in May 2017, God has ben doing great and new things in the life of the ministry of GHAFES, calling us to do things in a life transforming, invigorating and giving new ways. One of the new ways we believe God is calling us to reach out to you is to move away from printing our Monthly News Letter for distribution to using the electronic media. We believe this effort will not only help us reach most of our partners, but it will further help us to divert the resources used in printing and distribution into our main and core calling of Missions, Evangelism, Discipleship and Leadership development. Please therefore note that, effective this month September 2017, we will be sending you our Monthly News Letter electronically. We encourage you to share it with others so they will be blessed and know what GHAFES is all about and doing.

Reflecting on the goodness of the Lord, it dawned on me there is nothing that Satan device against you and me that God hasn’t already made a provision or “a way of escape.” I am encouraged to know in 1 Corinthian 10:13 that “God is faithful and He will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” Observe these three things in this verse and let it encourage you, spuring you on to persevere in this month and years to come. (1) It is in times of testing that you discover how faithful God is. (2) God knows what you can handle. (3) God will “make a way” so you can come out of this season of your life stronger and ready for what He has next in store for you. Remember, the fact that you have a problem is a sign that you have a promise. It’s only a matter of time before God makes a way where there seems to be no way so in the words of Russell K. Carter, I urge you to “Stand on the promises of God that cannot fail; when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail’ by the living word of God you shall prevail; stand on the promises of God.
