Building Project Updates

By God’s grace, work on the GHAFES House building project is progressing smoothly.


Sub-structure works: 100% completed Super-Structure works ground floor: 70% completed, (90% of offices, kitchen, washrooms and temporal conference room completed with tiles, glazed aluminium sliding windows, wooden paneled doors, painted and with all electrical works done and in use. Out-standing works for the ground floor include (plastering of guest wing, fixing of doors and windows, tilling, plumbing and electrical works as well as painting. In addition, some block work of the remaining office, reception staircase and lift well together with their finishes. First Floor: The frame and block works are completed. Out-standing works first floor: screeding, plastering, tilling, painting, doors and glazed aluminium windows, ACs and electrical wiring and plumbing fittings. Second and last Floor: Columns are 100% completed and block work 40% completed. The formwork for the second floor slab is currently been done. Out-standing works second floor: Completion of formwork, reinforcement, electrical and plumbing first fix, parapet wall and the cantilevered prayer tower and finishes (screeding, plastering, tilling, painting, first fix plumbing, electrical and ACs. Doors, windows, electrical plumbing and ACs fittings and external works. The building team has agreed currently to complete the frame for the last floor and use the next funds available to complete the ground floor and the portion of the first floor for rental. The land title has been secured and application for permit in progress and permit fees paid.

Anticipated Cost of Outstanding works

An estimated amount of Eight hundred thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 800,000) will be required to complete the project..
