Dear Beloved,

Thank you is not enough to you all for supporting this vision of “Back to the future-Making Christ-like disciple through cell groups”.

The leadership of GHAFES having recognized the fact that tertiary students form a critical mass in raising leaders both for the church and the state discerned the need to give its discipleship program a consistent structure and content. This has led to the organization of what it calls Going Back to the Future – a zonal based discipleship conference aimed at training GHAFES students’ leaders across the country in order for them to lead small discipleship groups on the tertiary campuses. Rev. J. F. K. Mensah has been chosen as the key facilitator in this process.

In light of the above, the first of the four Zonal Discipleship Conferenceswas held by the South West Zone at the University Interdenominational Church (UIC) auditorium on the University of Cape Coast. 230 executive and cell leaders from 10 the campus fellowships in the zone participated in this maiden conference on Saturday, September 8, 2018.

Some Participants’ Feedback and Success Stories…

“I believe that going back to the future is worth it. My fellowship and I embrace the idea of discipleship. My executives and I will be actively involved in the training, so we can make disciples”. Nathan Odonkor (President-GHAFES UEW, Central Campus)

“I applaud GHAFES for the idea of going back to the future. I encourage others to be part of the training as it will build upon their spiritual growth and help them win souls for Christ”. Degraft Manu (A member of GHAFES, UCC)

“This training was really transforming. The training has taught me a lot of things. I am convinced that the method of discipleship is effective in winning souls. Benson Joseph (Assistant Evangelism Coordinator)

“I am impressed at the turn out of the students who came for the training. I am happy about how the students were receptive and keen on asking questions about discipleship. The training was really impactful as there will be growth and transformation in their life and the life of the disciples they will make”. Alex Kwakye (A facilitator – Christ like Disciples)

To the glory of God, we have the commitment of the 230 campus fellowship executives and cell group leaders to undergo a 12-week discipleship class on the foundations of discipleship.

We humbly covet your prayers and donation as we embark on this journey of preparing tomorrow’s leaders today! The next training is scheduled for this Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Kumasi.

God Richly Bless You
