"SU is my grandma, GHAFES is my Mom. I joined GHAFES in 1971 and met all my friends in GHAFES including my husband. These friends have been my source of support and encouragement all these years. What we have are lifetime friendships. I rejoice greatly that I can continue to share in the joy of GHAFES' ministry as I continue to take part in the ministry to students" |

I have been associated with the Ghana Fellowship of Evangelical Students (GHAFES) over the last eighteen years: first as a student member at the University of Cape-Coast, and then in various capcities, as an Associate member.
GHAFES' input in my life by way of balanced doctrinal teaching, quality leadership training, and ecumenical exposure has contributed significantly in preparing me for the sometimes difficult terrain of the corporate market place where the locomotive of vigorous competition comes along with an excess baggage of stress, pressure, and the palpable possibility of being snowed under with the day-to-day minutiae of life to the detriment of the larger issues.
GHAFES has stood me in good stead in the corporate market place. First, the grounding in scripture has provided me with a comprehensive framework for handling, to the best of my conscience, the many challenging decisions, invariably tinged with moral and ethical connotations, which one has to make in business.
Second, in an evironment where one has to deal with people of all shades of religious, ethnic, and social backgrounds, the ecumenical upbringing has prepared me with the necessary social skills to accommodate these differences without sacrificing principles.
Over and above meeting and exceeding customer and shareholder expectations key ingredients in the wheels and deals of the market place the exposure at GHAFES has helped focus me on the ultimate perspective the day of reckoning before our Maker.
On the strength of the very solid benefits that have accrued to me through the vehicle of GHAFES, I will not hestitat to strongly recommend the fellowship to any Christian intent on 'knowing Christ and making Him known'. |

‘Every GHAFES NLTS is more than just an annual seminar, if considered critically: it is the opportunity for leaders to sharpen one another by keying into the ministry’s national agenda in an atmosphere of fellowship. The ideal result is for each session to prepare participants for greater impact in their individual roles within their campus’ fellowship. This year’s theme was ‘Jesus: Our Model of Leadership’, which was unravelled at each Bible Study and exposition and brought to life in interacting with our beloved associates as well. The core elements of Jesus’ earthly ministry – purposeful leadership, self-sacrifice, humility, excellence and compassion for all – were thoroughly taught and discussed so as to take them out of the ethereal and into the everyday lives of each participant’. |

‘The joy that is flowing in my soul I just can’t explain. It has been such a wonderful time being in the presence of the lamb that was slain. He has taught me how to uphold my integrity and exercise self restrain. In leadership, Jesus is now my model! He took a towel and washed His disciples’ feet. This gives me an example to follow: no matter my position I need to be humble. It will only be an understatement to say that the NLTS was nice’. |
