(SICE 2011) has successfully come to an end. The 68 Student Missionaries safely
arrived on Wednesday 22nd June and shared with us the good things
our Lord Jesus Christ did through them. »read

marked the historic occasion of the Sod Cutting to officially commence work on
the GHAFES House Building Project. This took place on the building project site
at Dzorwulu, Hse. # 22 Odoteye Tsui Street (a.k.a. Last Chance). »read
Our Annual Thanksgiving and Fund Raising Dinner
was held on the 4th December, 2010. This year’s dinner was well
attended by our Associates. The General Secretary, Mr. Victor Obeng, took the
opportunity to share with the gathering by way of a presentation on all the
major activities of the ministry in the year 2010. »read
The Ministry’s quest to revamp the Associates
fellowship is yielding some results. The second Accra Associate Fellowship
meeting for the year which aimed again at reconnecting generations was successfully
organized. »read
The 14th Annual General Meeting of
GHAFES came off on Sunday, 13th June, 2010 at Mensah Sarbah Dining Hall,
University Of Ghana at 3:00pm under the chairmanship of Ing. Magnus Lincoln

This year’s Annual Conference dubbed Ezra
Conference 2010 was specially packaged to offer excellent opportunity for
equipping and empowering our students to ‘Rightly Divide the Word of Truth’. The
focus of the Ezra Conference 2010(referenced to Ezra who had determined to study and obey the Law of the LORD and
to teach those laws...-Ezra 7:10), was on the Christian devotion to studying
the Law of the Lord, practicing it, and to teaching all its laws. »read
SICE
2010 took place between the 11th and 30th of June
2010.This years SICE also had, students divided into two groups with some going
to Dambai and the rest to Enchi.The total number of participants numbered 94
comprising of 78 GHAFES members, 14 IVCF members, 5 staff and 3 National
Service Personnel. In all a team of 30 were in Enchi and 64 for Dambai.In
Dambai, participants were distributed into 13 communities whiles in Enchi,
participants covered 8 communities. »read
Rafiki Methodist Orphanage as the name suggests, is a
vision that was borne out of a burden by an NGO called Rafiki foundation and
the Methodist church to provide home for the homeless and destitute in a
community in the central region. This was basically because they needed to help
find a lasting solution to how fishermen bought children from these communities
and used their bodies as bait for fishing. »read
This
year’s SNEC Congress came off in the Central Region on the North Campus of the
University of Education-Winneba from the 1st – 2nd of April, 2010. SNEC is made
up of the Presidents and Secretaries of the 34 campus fellowships of GHAFES. The
theme of the congress was “IFES Living Stones”, and the main speaker was Mr.
Victor Obeng, the General Secretary of GHAFES. »read
The Executive Council on
the 6th of February, 2010 accepted the recommendation from the Interview
Committee to appoint Mr. Isaac Mensah-Newton as the new 'TS' for the Accra
Zone. He took over, from Mr. Paul Kalevor who served in this position for more
than six years, with effect from 1st January 2010. Before his appointment Isaac
has been serving as the Acting Training Secretary of the Accra Zone. »read
